- Classes recommended to take in high are Anatomy/Physiology, along with Psychology.
- To become a Physical Therapy Assistant, only an associate degree is required.
- Internships show up well on resumes, but are not required with companies who offer PTA positions.
- A 3.0 GPA and Act of 17 is expected of a PTA coming out of high school.
- A 2.8 cumulative GPA is expected coming out of college.
Competitiveness and Cost
- Competition is pretty high coming out of college, however, there are so many jobs available, most PTA's with a degree will find a job.
- Cost of education in-state will run you about $7,816, while out of state will be about $26, 493 dollars.
